Fiat manufactures and sells cars in Iran though a licensing agreement with the Pars Industrial Foundation. The company’s website features four different models of FIAT cars available for purchase in Iran.[1] Fiat is also reportedly opening a Maserati dealership in Tehran in order to further expand its presence in Iran.[2]

In Fiscal Year 2011, the Fiat Company held 89 contracts valued at over $4.3 million with the U.S. Department of Defense.[4] In 2009, Fiat received a 20% stake in U.S. automaker Chrysler through U.S. federal bailout loans[5]. Fiat has since repaid its U.S. and Canadian government loans and now holds a 58.5% stake in Chrysler.[6]
